Businessman Rafael Gómez, popularly known as Sandokán, and Grupo Prasa are among Córdoba's main debtors listed by the Tax Agency's list of major evaders, defined as those owing over 600,000 euros. Nationally, the 2025 list includes 5,853 debtors, 144 fewer than the previous year.
In total, around thirty major Cordoban debtors collectively owe more than 250 million euros. Rafael Gómez, both personally and through his companies such as Arenal 2000, Arenal 2001, and Grupo Inversor Arenal 2000, has a debt exceeding 108 million euros, a decrease from the 147 million owed in 2024.
Grupo Prasa stands as the province's largest individual debtor, with an unpaid amount of 97,362,006.69 euros. Following closely are Obaoil 3000 (72,428,969 euros), Arenal 2001 (65,282,244.64 euros), and Compañía Meridional de Inversiones (23,238,933.78 euros). Grupo Inversor Arenal 2000 ranks fifth with 13,811,653.18 euros in outstanding debt.
Beyond these major debtors, other companies such as Construcciones Marín Hilinger (6,691,742.21 euros), Promotora Inmobiliaria La Mezquita (4,973,503.33 euros), and Melariense de Investigaciones Agrarias (4,711,141.81 euros) are also on the list. Corporación Empresarial de Energías Limpias XXIII owes 4,612,030.30 euros, while Arenal 2000 has a debt of 4,174,524.21 euros, and Laboratorios Pérez Giménez owes 3,022,323.89 euros.
Further down the list are Cerramientos Industriales Los Pedroches (2,352,665.19 euros), Compañía Inmobiliaria Nueva Córdoba (2,286,956.11 euros), Cargo Ambitious (1,663,920.24 euros), Pacimcosa (1,474,205.84 euros), Silos Córdoba (1,105,796.77 euros), Fesucor (1,088,153.09 euros), Hermanos Piston (1,071,654.22 euros), and Lagartijo Construcciones Laconsa (1,033,813.36 euros).
Nationally, the total number of major tax debtors with Hacienda at the end of 2025 was 5,853, a decrease of 144 from the previous year. Of these, 4,742 were legal entities and 1,111 were individuals. The total debt owed by these major debtors amounted to 15.432 billion euros, a 4.4% decrease compared to the prior year.
