The Andalusian economy experienced a 0.8% quarter-on-quarter and 3.0% year-on-year growth in the second quarter of 2026, surpassing national and Eurozone averages.

The Andalusian Economic Observatory, in collaboration with the Cámara Foundation, has presented the report ‘Andalusian Economy. Second Quarter of 2026’. Estimates from the Synthetic Activity Indicator (IOEA) show that the regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 0.8% compared to the previous quarter and by 3.0% year-on-year. This advance places Andalusia above the national average (+2.7%) and the Eurozone (+0.8%).
The growth is supported by the solid performance of the services sector and the strength of internal demand drivers. The Observatory projects that the Andalusian economy will close 2026 with average growth exceeding 2.7%, and estimates 1.9% for 2027.
Favorable national economic cycle trends provide Andalusia with an optimal starting point to consolidate its expansion. Projections anticipate that Andalusian GDP will continue its sustained advance, supported by the good performance of employment and the ongoing internationalization of industry.
In this context, Andalusia is expected to match or slightly exceed Spain's average growth in the second half of 2026, driven by tourism and the deployment of structural and European funds (Next Generation EU) in regional productive investment.
