The Board of Trustees of Andalucía Emprende, a Public Andalusian Foundation under the Ministry of University, Industry, Energy, and Innovation, has unanimously approved the appointment of Javier González Navarro as its new General Director. Navarro, who had been acting in this capacity since March, now fully assumes the role to lead a new era for the organization.
The Minister of University, Industry, Energy, and Innovation and President of Andalucía Emprende, Jorge Paradela, highlighted that the foundation aims to become a more coordinated, efficient organization, better connected to the real needs of the territory and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This new phase will allow for deeper modernization, the promotion of new work lines linked to innovative entrepreneurship, and the consolidation of Andalucía Emprende as a benchmark public entity in supporting the creation and growth of companies.
The Foundation will focus on enhancing service quality, improving institutional coordination mechanisms, and strengthening relationships with universities, businesses, and ecosystem agents. The goal is to reinforce service quality and ecosystem connections.
González Navarro (Huelva, 1989), a Law graduate from the University of Huelva, brings solid experience in public management and the coordination of entrepreneurial ecosystems. Over the past three years, he led the planning and execution of public entrepreneurship policy in the region as the General Director of Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Continuous Training for the Junta de Andalucía. His achievements include launching the General Entrepreneurship Plan and establishing territorial coordination mechanisms.
His prior experience at Andalucía Emprende has enabled him to translate a strategic vision into operational practice, strengthening team cohesion and the entity's institutional relationships with ecosystem stakeholders. In his public career, he also served as a councilor for the Huelva City Council and as a board member in various institutional bodies.
In the private sector, he managed a legal services and horizontal property company, leading teams and strategic projects. He has also provided legal advice to various organizations and specializes in 'compliance,' with experience in risk prevention and the design of compliance protocols and culture.
