The INTREPIDA Forum: 'Entrepreneurship Bridges', taking place in Seville on October 27th and 28th, marks the beginning of four major meetings planned within the European Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) program. This professional event is designed to be a strategic meeting point for businesswomen, executives, and entrepreneurs from Andalusia, the Algarve, and Alentejo.
The main objective of the forum is to consolidate cooperation networks between Spain and Portugal, leveraging geographical and market synergies to boost the competitiveness of women-led businesses in the Southwest of Europe. Over the two days, strategies for communication and digitalization, access to funding and innovation, technological integration, and international business niches will be addressed, alongside experience panels and dynamics for signing agreements.
The territorial proximity between southern Spain and southern Portugal is considered a key opportunity for local economic development. The complementarity of sectors such as agri-food, sustainable tourism, advanced services, and creative industries favors the creation of cross-border commercial synergies.
The president of the Mancomunidad, Paco Pérez, highlights the importance of cross-border cooperation to combine capabilities and open markets. He notes that European tools like INTREPIDA pro are ideal levers for stimulating the local economy and internationalizing the productive fabric.
The INTREPIDA pro project is part of the Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) 2021-2027 program and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Coordinated by the Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo Foundation, the project partners include the Business Nucleus of the Évora Region (NERE), the Business Association of the Algarve Region (NERA), and the Bahía de Cádiz Foundation for Economic Development, as well as the Mancomunidad de Desarrollo del Condado de Huelva.
