The fourth edition of the I+DONES Forum in Granada has unveiled tender projects with a potential value exceeding 2 billion euros, attracting 200 companies interested in the scientific industry.

Public entities and organizations at the I+DONES Forum have presented a series of projects with a potential value of over 2 billion euros. These initiatives will be put out to tender or competition in the coming years, offering significant opportunities for companies in Spain's scientific sector.
This was highlighted by Gerardo Cuerva, president of Cámara Granada and the Industry Office, during the inauguration of the event's fourth edition. The forum, organized by the Industry Office and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities through the CDTI, brings together companies and public bodies around the IFMIF-DONES project.

"The presentation in Granada of such a high amount of contracts demonstrates two things: firstly, as we have been saying, it is an industry that mobilizes a very important volume of business, and secondly, that Granada is already a reference point for discussing this industry."

The sum of the projects comes from various entities such as IFMIF-DONES itself, CIEMAT, CDTI, and the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia, which have shared their plans with the two hundred participating companies.
Cuerva also emphasized the consolidation of the forum, which was created four years ago with the vision that IFMIF-DONES would become an economic change driver for Granada and Andalusia, beyond being the largest scientific facility in the country.
The mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, highlighted the forum's importance as part of the city's strategic project, aiming to boost the Culture and Science duo and the aspiration to become a European Capital of Culture.
The interim director of the IFMIF-DONES Spain Consortium, Moisés Weber, celebrated the forum's effectiveness as a meeting point for collaboration between companies and the facility, solidifying Granada as a benchmark in the industry of large scientific installations.
