Green Hydrogen Training for 45 Unemployed in El Condado

The Mancomunidad del Condado de Huelva has concluded the initial training phase of the H2 Verde Huelva project, equipping 45 unemployed individuals with skills related to renewable energies and a sustainable economy.

The initiative aims to prepare participants to access new job opportunities emerging in the province of Huelva, driven by the energy transition and the development of green hydrogen. The program has completed three training courses, each with 15 participants, focused on providing professional knowledge and skills in sectors with significant growth potential.
Beyond the training, participants will receive personalized advice, guidance, and employment intermediation services. This support aims to help define professional paths and facilitate their integration into the job market by connecting acquired qualifications with employment opportunities in these emerging sectors.
Paco Pérez Picón, president of the Mancomunidad, emphasized the role of the energy transition in creating new employment opportunities. "We want the citizens of El Condado to be prepared to seize them," he stated, highlighting that professional qualification is essential for retaining talent in the region and accessing quality jobs.
The H2 Verde Huelva project is a joint effort by the Mancomunidad de Desarrollo Condado de Huelva, the Huelva City Council, and the Palos de la Frontera City Council. It is funded by the Biodiversity Foundation (Empleaverde+ Program) and co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+).
The primary objective is to enhance training and employability in green hydrogen and other sustainable economy activities, ensuring that the province's energy transformation translates into new job opportunities for its population.
