The Granada Provincial Council has approved a budget modification of over 427,000 euros to draft the necessary tenders to boost new air connections and strengthen existing ones at Federico García Lorca Airport.

This initiative, approved by the Governing Council of the Provincial Tourism Board, aims to establish four new routes: two national and two international. Among the national objectives, the goal is to ensure the continuity of the flight to Bilbao and, for the first time, connect the capital with Valencia, a route considered strategic for the region's economic and tourist development.
In the international sphere, the strategy focuses on recovering the connection with the United Kingdom, specifically with London, a route that recently became vacant. Additionally, a new link with Poland is sought, specifically with its capital, Warsaw.

"This is a line of work aimed at strengthening the presence of Granada as a destination in different markets, both international and national."
