The Granada Provincial Council has increased the financial allocation for its youth entrepreneurship aid program for 2026 to €350,000, representing a 75% rise from the previous year.

This initiative aims to foster business creation, stimulate the local economy, and generate proximity employment in Granada's municipalities, helping to retain young people in their hometowns. The first edition, launched in 2025, received 288 applications and supported 197 entrepreneurs, data that has driven the program's expansion.
Provincial president Francis Rodríguez, alongside other institutional representatives and beneficiary youths, emphasized the commitment to young talent and initiative. "We want those who decide to start a business to find institutional support to develop their projects and build their future without being forced to leave their towns," he stated.
The call is open to individuals aged between 18 and 35, registered in the province for at least six months prior to the announcement, and who conduct their economic activity in towns with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants. Priority is given to small businesses with fewer than ten employees, where the share capital has been contributed by young people.
The maximum aid amount per applicant is €1,000. Funds are intended to support new ventures and the consolidation of existing projects, covering necessary expenses such as premises rental, utilities, social security contributions, and advisory services, provided they were incurred and justified between January 1 and May 31, 2026.
