The overall call for applications received 31 submissions in total, with a requested investment exceeding 7.5 million euros and nearly 4 million in requested subsidies, surpassing the allocated budget of 2.29 million euros.
Specifically for Line 2, 19 applications requested 2.82 million euros in subsidies. The provisional resolution approves 5 projects that exhaust the available credit for this line (917,544.96 €) and mobilize over 1.8 million euros in private investment.
The GDR's technical team is also analyzing applications for Line 1 (agricultural and forestry sector), with 7 requests totaling 692,157.92 € in subsidies against a budget of 802,851.84 €, and Line 3 (rural environment and quality of life), with 5 applications for 422,569.26 € in aid from a budget of 573,465.60 €.
The five initiatives approved under Line 2 directly address the need to consolidate the tourism value chain linked to the UNESCO World Geopark. The subsidized projects, co-financed by the European FEADER fund and the Junta de Andalucía, include a new restaurant at Complejo Rural El Molinico (Puebla de Don Fadrique), a cave-dwelling tourist apartment complex in Orce, an eco-sustainable motorhome campsite in Galera, the renovation of a property for a hotel-restaurant in Huéscar, and the expansion of tourist apartments Almaterra in Huéscar.
These applications were processed in order of receipt and are highlighted for creating local employment, promoting female and youth entrepreneurship, and focusing on sustainability and renewable energy.
This publication initiates the hearing process for beneficiaries to submit required documentation before the final resolution. Interested parties can find more details at the GDR offices in Baza and Huéscar or consult the official website.
