The proposal, aimed at addressing current infrastructure saturation, follows the review of over 2,500 submitted claims. The goal is to facilitate connections for new industrial, technological, and residential projects, thereby accelerating the electrification of the Spanish economy.
As part of this strategy, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition has significantly increased planned positions for the electrification of ports and railway axes, while also projecting improvements in the capacity of existing substations. This expansion represents an 11% increase in electrical line mileage compared to the initial draft.
Simultaneously, the Energy Sector Conference has approved the distribution of 368 million euros for energy efficiency and climate control in public buildings. Of this amount, 168 million is allocated to health centers and 200 million to educational facilities.
Regarding the breakdown of these grants, the province of Málaga and the rest of Andalusia are key recipients. For the educational program, the Andalusian region will receive 38.55 million euros, while for the health sector, the allocation amounts to 22.08 million euros, based on population criteria and the number of facilities.
