Five Huelva Municipalities Reach Record-High Housing Sale Prices

The average price per square meter in Huelva province has increased by 10.2% in the last year, with coastal areas leading the surge.

Home buying in the province of Huelva has become 10.2% more expensive in the last year, according to March data, with five coastal municipalities surpassing their historical maximum prices per square meter.

The real estate market in the province of Huelva shows an upward trend, with a 10.2% increase in the sale price of used homes over the last year, according to the Idealista portal. This rise translates to an average cost of 1,679 euros per square meter in the province, although it remains below the historical peak of 1,919 euros recorded in September 2007.
Five coastal towns stand out for reaching their highest prices in March. El Rompido leads with 2,706 euros per square meter, a 16.3% increase from the previous year. Following is Islantilla, where the square meter costs 2,663 euros, experiencing a year-on-year rise of 23.5%. Matalascañas has also hit a new record with 2,620 euros per square meter, up 10.8% from a year ago.
Other areas that have seen their prices soar include El Portil, with 2,367 euros per square meter and a 20.9% annual increase, and Punta Umbría, reaching 2,230 euros per square meter after a 12.3% rise. These five locations are the only ones in the province where the average price exceeds 2,000 euros per square meter, solidifying the coast as the most expensive area to acquire property.
In the rest of the province, the general trend is also one of increasing prices for used homes. La Antilla is positioned as the most expensive coastal municipality with 2,863 euros per square meter, following a 26.4% increase in one year. Ayamonte follows in the ranking of highest prices with 1,976 euros per square meter. In the capital of Huelva, the price closed March at 1,668 euros per square meter, representing a 15.7% increase over the year, while Aljaraque registers 1,665 euros. Isla Cristina, with 1,644 euros per square meter, is the coastal municipality with the lowest price, despite a 15.8% increase.
Conversely, three municipalities have managed to reverse this upward trend. Rociana del Condado has seen its prices fall by 6.7%, settling at 791 euros per square meter. La Palma del Condado experienced an 8.3% decrease, reaching 799 euros, and in Moguer, the price of used housing has dropped by 4.4%, to 992 euros per square meter.
