This intervention, which involved an investment of 22,000 euros, primarily aims to enhance the quality, safety, and reliability of the electricity supply in the area, as reported by the company.
Specific tasks included replacing two medium-voltage supports and removing associated wiring. The mountainous topography necessitated a special operation, with a team of twelve specialized technicians accessing the infrastructure with safety harnesses to prepare for the lifting work.
“"These works have been carried out under strict safety and prevention measures, prioritizing at all times both the protection of workers and the conservation of the natural environment in which they have been executed."
Once the dismantling was complete, new infrastructures, each 18 meters high and weighing 2,000 kilograms, were installed. These incorporate insulation and protection devices designed to safeguard the rich birdlife present in the area.
These works are part of Endesa's investment plan for 2026 in the region, allocated 120,000 euros, and are included in e-distribución's Investment Plan for the province of Jaén, approved by the Junta de Andalucía. This plan seeks the renovation, automation, expansion, and modernization of electricity distribution networks to improve service quality, integrate renewable energies, and advance towards a more digitized and resilient grid.
