Endesa has launched a new transformation center in the Tres Mil Viviendas neighborhood of Seville, aiming to reinforce the area's electrical grid. This new infrastructure is part of an agreement between the company and the Seville City Council, which includes a total investment of 4.6 million euros for the installation of 23 new transformation centers across the Andalusian capital.
Following the installation of a 25-ton substation housing the machinery, technicians have completed the laying of over 300 meters of medium-voltage cabling. This connection to the grid will help «alleviate» detected overloads in the area. Since 2020, Endesa has invested 3.5 million euros specifically in this neighborhood for new networks and increased power capacity.
In the Palmete neighborhood, on Honestidad street, another transformation center has been installed. This facility will help mitigate the energy load and has enough capacity to supply an additional 2,200 homes.
Throughout this year, the remaining transformation centers will be installed, along with over 12.6 kilometers of medium-voltage cabling and 67.2 kilometers of low-voltage cabling. The total power capacity of these new infrastructures will reach 26,640 kVAs.
These 23 new centers join the 25 already installed since 2022, resulting from two previous agreements with the City Council signed in 2022 and 2025, which facilitated the cession of locations in neighborhoods such as Cerro Amate, Torreblanca, and Palmete.
