The old Cádiz train station, a historic building dating back to 1905, is undergoing an ambitious renovation that will feature top-tier architects and designers, both nationally and internationally.

The project, covering an area of 5,000 square meters, aims to transform the station into a new leisure, hospitality, and cultural landmark for the city. The initiative involves a substantial investment, highlighting the importance of design and architecture as key elements for the future image of the complex.
One of the cornerstones of this transformation will be El Gran Café de Cádiz, which will receive an investment of 2.5 million euros out of the total 14 million planned. The design of this space has been entrusted to a renowned professional in the sector, whose studio has developed over 400 projects in nearly fifty countries, establishing itself as a benchmark in hospitality and gastronomy.
In the architectural realm, the project benefits from the collaboration of two architects with extensive experience in the province of Cádiz and Andalusia, who deeply understand the historical and cultural value of the building. They are joined by an architectural firm founded in 2005, awarded numerous national and international prizes, known for its focus on light and respect for the environment in its works.
The complex, which will be named LAEC (La Antigua Estación de Cádiz), is expected to be completed in just over a year and begin operations in spring-summer 2027, promising to be a new cultural and economic driver for the region.
