The Provincial Council of Cordoba has reaffirmed the province's position as a nerve center for the defense and logistics industry following the closing of the INDUDEF congress, which was attended by high-ranking authorities.

The president of the Provincial Council of Cordoba, Salvador Fuentes, has underscored the success of the INDUDEF congress, which concluded its third day, establishing the province as a benchmark in the defense and logistics industry. The event was attended by H.M. King Felipe VI, the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, the President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, and the Mayor of Cordoba, José María Bellido, among other dignitaries.
Fuentes highlighted Cordoba's potential, stating that the province possesses vocational training, higher education degrees, a university, and, crucially, companies capable of adapting to the defense sector's needs. He identified 47 companies in the province able to participate in defense-related tenders, a sector of growing importance.
Furthermore, 42 knowledge entities from the University of Cordoba, both public and private, have been identified, whose research and innovation groups are developing methods applicable to defense procedures. Fuentes concluded that Cordoba is prepared for this industrial revolution, offering quality employment opportunities to young people in areas such as mechanics, robotics, and logistics.
The Provincial Council's stand at INDUDEF also served as a showcase for vocational training and simulation. The IES Luis de Góngora presented proposals for 3D glasses to simulate warehouse operations and its Higher Vocational Training Cycle in Transport and Logistics. The IES Tablero demonstrated advanced methodologies for modern warehouse management through interactive simulation.
In the field of Emergencies, Drones, and Agricultural Robotics, the IES Galileo Galilei exhibited its development lines. Business representation included GENAC (Grupo Keater), a company from Lucena specializing in water generation using atmospheric technology, the startup Flamingo in the biomedicine sector, Imibic, Campus Cordoba, and the company Rovimática.
