The City Council of Córdoba has launched its first Local Self-Employed Work Plan, a strategy endowed with 18 million euros that seeks to boost entrepreneurship over the next five years.

The initiative, managed through the Municipal Institute for Economic Development and Employment (IMDEEC), aims primarily to ensure the consolidation and survival of local businesses. With a duration until 2031, the program intends to transform the model of support for entrepreneurs through a policy of administrative agility and digitalization.
Key pillars of the plan include the creation of a single channel, both physical and digital, to reduce bureaucracy. Furthermore, specific tools will be implemented to improve business cybersecurity, and the transition towards digital storefronts will be encouraged, moving beyond the traditional retail model.
An innovative aspect of this strategy is the continuous evaluation system, where professionals themselves will participate in auditing the implemented measures. The plan also addresses structural challenges, such as encouraging the hiring of employees and improving work-life balance for self-employed workers.

"The goal is to make it increasingly easy to start a business and be self-employed in Córdoba, ensuring that companies can consolidate and thrive in their environment."
