The Provincial Council of Cordoba and the University of Cordoba have celebrated 'Entrepreneurship Day', a key event to analyze the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship and the digital economy in the province.

The Provincial Council of Cordoba hosted 'Entrepreneurship Day', an initiative part of the EmprendeUCO–Diputación de Córdoba program. The event brought together institutional representatives, businessmen, entrepreneurs, and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship, as well as to examine new trends in the digital economy.
Félix Romero, delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment of the provincial institution, highlighted the Council's strong commitment to making Cordoba and its province a strategic territory for starting businesses, investing, and retaining talent. The goal is to create the necessary conditions for ideas to transform into solid business projects that generate employment and wealth.
Romero emphasized the importance of supporting those with good ideas who are committed to their territory, stating, "we must support all those people who have a good idea, who bet on their territory, who bet on their province, and who not only give themselves a chance in life but also transform society." He added that supporting entrepreneurs means directly investing in the future of the municipalities, asserting, "we need those with a business idea to find opportunities in Cordoba to launch it, grow, and consolidate without having to leave".
The president of Iprodeco also stressed the importance of collaboration between public administrations, the University, and the business fabric, noting that "the sum of efforts allows us to go further and offer better tools to those who decide to start a business."
For his part, Juan José Giner, president of Fundecor and Vice-Rector for Students, Access, and Employability at the University of Cordoba, explained that Fundecor will support entrepreneurship among university and vocational training students. "We have more than 150 people studying at different levels, both in vocational training and at the University, and, through Fundecor, we are going to support all the entrepreneurship coming from the students of the University of Cordoba," he stated.
Giner also highlighted the participation of over 70 successful companies that originated from similar programs. "In this edition, we also have more than 70 companies that were once entrepreneurs through these types of programs and are now very successful," he concluded.
The event featured conferences and roundtables on entrepreneurship, the digital economy, and business experiences. Notable sessions included the talk 'Entrepreneurship and working in the new digital economy' with Geni Ramos (Prodigi Academy) and the roundtable 'Experiences, challenges, and opportunities of entrepreneurship', presented by Esther Capitán Muñoz (AJE Córdoba) and moderated by Rocío Muñoz (University of Cordoba). Participants included Stephany Oliveros (Lyra AI, SheAI), Pablo Rich (Wayra, El Carmen), and Nico Rodríguez (Escuela Brandea). The session continued with the conference 'From starting up to growing: keys to taking your business to the next level' by Aida García Bueno (Japanese Head Spa ES).
Félix Romero concluded by reaffirming the province's commitment: "We want a province where entrepreneurship is a real future option, where our young people can develop their talent, and where companies find a favorable environment to grow. Every business project we manage to consolidate in our municipalities means new employment opportunities and contributes to retaining population and strengthening our territory."
