The province of Cádiz has been allocated 22.5 million euros from the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program (PFEA), aimed at boosting labor activity in the primary sector of its municipalities.

The Provincial Monitoring Commission of the PFEA, chaired by the sub-delegate of the Government of Spain in Cádiz, has approved the distribution of these funds. The total amount, which stands at 22,502,750.66 euros, will be financed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy through the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).
Of the total amount, 17,563,396.89 euros will be allocated to Income Guarantee, while 4,939,353.77 euros will be assigned to Stable Employment actions. The main objective of the PFEA is the execution of works and actions in Cádiz municipalities during periods of lower agricultural activity, including infrastructure improvements, natural space maintenance, and heritage recovery.
Since 2019, the amount allocated to Cádiz municipalities by this program has increased by 28.77%, from 17,474,104.36 euros to the current figure. According to SEPE data, the program for 2025/2026 has over 134 projects underway, generating approximately 226,778 workdays and more than 12,367 contracts.

"The funds distributed by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) are intended to cover hiring and Social Security costs, according to criteria that take into account the employment situation of each municipality and are aimed at unemployed individuals, especially those who work occasionally in the agricultural sector."
