The call follows a lack of progress in the negotiation of a new collective agreement. Unions, led by Comisiones Obreras, argue that current conditions are outdated and do not reflect the technological and labor realities of the sector today.
Key demands include a reduction in the annual working hours, currently set at 1,756, which union representatives describe as excessive. Additionally, they are calling for the creation of a seniority supplement to recognize employee experience and prevent talent from leaving for other industries.
The dispute also includes demands to regulate occupational risks associated with handling electric vehicles and new painting materials. Furthermore, the union reports that half of the workforce does not receive the transport allowance, despite their daily commutes to work.

A meeting is scheduled at the Extrajudicial System for the Resolution of Labor Conflicts of Andalusia (Sercla) on July 27. The outcome of this meeting will determine whether the planned strikes are called off, as unions have not ruled out extending the mobilizations if no agreement is reached with the employers' associations AMA and Fedama.
