Almería Provincial Council and Chamber of Commerce renew partnership for entrepreneurship
The agreement aims to boost employment, competitiveness, and digitalization across Almería's 103 municipalities with new initiatives.

The Provincial Council and the Chamber of Commerce of Almería have renewed their agreement to foster entrepreneurship, employment, and competitiveness in the province's 103 municipalities.
The Provincial Council and the Chamber of Commerce of Almería have renewed their agreement with the objective of boosting entrepreneurship, employment, and the competitiveness of Almería's productive fabric across all 103 municipalities. The new agreement includes various actions to ensure the provincial business sector continues to be a driver of wealth and job creation throughout the territory.
The agreement, signed at the Provincial Palace, encompasses initiatives such as the Generational Succession Plan, employment fairs, and the digitalization of rural areas. The provincial institution will contribute 100,000 euros for the implementation of these projects.
Among the lines of action are the continuation of the Generational Succession Plan, featuring a digital tool to connect retiring merchants with individuals interested in taking over businesses. Surveys and working meetings will be conducted to analyze how to prevent the closure of businesses in rural municipalities.
A new initiative focuses on technological innovation with the project for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Rural Areas. Free practical courses will be offered on using AI and digital tools for small businesses, including in-person workshops and remote tutoring for 30 companies.
The Young Talent Employment Fair, held in a hybrid format, aims to improve the labor insertion of at least 100 unemployed young people registered in the Youth Guarantee program. Additionally, the Dual Vocational Training (FP) Fair PYME 2026 will connect educational centers and students with at least 40 provincial SMEs to promote the Dual FP model.
The President of the Provincial Council, José Antonio García Alcaina, highlighted the strategic alliance to equalize opportunities and improve the quality of life in all municipalities. For his part, the President of the Chamber, Jerónimo Parra, emphasized the progress in collaboration to support businesses, foster employment, and advance digitalization, including the use of AI.
