The provincial gourmet brand, ‘Sabores Almería’, lands in Asia to participate in the prestigious SIAL Shanghai 2026 fair, taking place from May 18th to 20th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

A total of seven companies from Almería will have the opportunity to showcase the potential of their products at one of the most important agri-food events on the Asian continent. The participation is organized in collaboration with FIAB (Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries), which will provide a dedicated space for these companies within the Spanish pavilion.
The participating companies are Embutidos Peña Cruz, Bodega Sierra Almagrera, Almendras de Andalucía, Campos de Uleila, Luxeapers, Lorusso, and Oleo Almanzora. Throughout the three-day fair, the Almería delegation will maintain a packed schedule of meetings with key suppliers and sector agents, aiming to establish new contacts and secure commercial agreements.
Provincial Deputy Carlos Sánchez highlighted the importance of this event for consolidating the internationalization strategy of ‘Sabores Almería’. "The objective is for the Almería brand to be recognized within the Chinese market and for companies to reach new contacts and commercial contracts in this country," he stated. This initiative is part of the brand's roadmap for expansion in both Asia and North America, with a forthcoming trade mission planned for Canada.
SIAL Shanghai 2026 is expected to bring together over 5,000 exhibitors and 180,000 professionals from 125 countries, reaffirming its position as a crucial event for innovation and trade in the food and beverage industry.
According to FIAB data, China represents a priority non-EU market and a strategic partner for the Spanish industry. In 2025, it solidified its position as the seventh destination for Spanish agri-food exports, exceeding 1.7 billion euros.
