The event, held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, highlighted robotic applications in strategic industrial sectors and emphasized how collaboration between universities and companies in the region drives robotics development.
Alejandro Salvador, Director of Entrepreneurship at the Universitat Jaume I; Francisco Javier Sogorb, Deputy Director General of Digital Society Advancement and Digital Enabling Technologies; and Juan Antonio Bertolín, Director of Espaitec, inaugurated the event. Salvador stressed that "robotics must not only respond to the real needs of companies but also open new opportunities for them. And this is only possible by collaborating and leveraging the talent and technological capacity we already have in our territory."
For his part, Sogorb highlighted the role of Valencian science parks as "essential actors" and confirmed the support of the Generalitat Valenciana for events like Innotransfer, which connect technology and business.
Bertolín pointed out that Valencian industry already implements autonomous robots and that the next step is to achieve machines that perceive, decide, and work alongside people, a capability available "here, a few meters away, in our research groups and our companies."
The event included presentations on the evolution and future of robotics, global trends, and the role of Europe and Spain, delivered by Eduardo Munera (Vice President of the Spanish Mobile Robotics Association - ARME) and Carlos Vivas (Chief Business Officer at Pal Robotics and board member of euRobotics).
A demonstration of humanoid (AgiBot X2) and quadrupedal robots was presented, highlighting their ability to navigate complex terrains and collaborate with humans.
Round tables addressed "Cutting-edge Robotics: Solutions Transforming the Market," with participation from Raúl Soriano (CEO and founder of Symplia), Isidro Fernández (President of Botmotics), and Daniel Cardin (CEO and founder of Cooryc); and "Robotic Ecosystem: Science, Standards, and Infrastructure," with Jesús Ortiz (CEO of Orbel Grupo), Raúl Marín (Professor at the Universitat Jaume I and co-founder of CIRTESU-UJI), and Eduardo Munera (CEO and founder of Deliverance Enterprises).
Sara Escrig, Innotransfer Manager at Espaitec, presented the "Innotransfer Challenges Platform," which allows Valencian companies to propose technological challenges to universities and technology institutes.
Juan Antonio Bertolín closed the event by presenting the Prisma Report on emerging technologies in robotics, stating that "robotics is no longer the future, it is already here, and at Espaitec, we want this to be the place where these capabilities can connect."
Innotransfer is a multisectoral initiative promoted by Valencian science parks to foster knowledge and technology transfer to the business ecosystem, with the participation of business associations, public universities, and the REDIT Network of Technology Institutes, coordinated by the Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV) and funded by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Innovation, and Commerce.
