The United Nations base in Quart de Poblet will host the new digital center of the organization's secretariat, consolidating the Comunitat Valenciana as a strategic hub for cybersecurity and innovation.

This project positions Valencia as the first node in a future global network of strategic UN digital centers, in coordination with other international facilities. The digital center will be the organization's first centralized ICT facility, aiming to modernize a technological infrastructure that was previously fragmented.
The Quart de Poblet complex will manage essential services such as global connectivity, cybersecurity, incident response, support for peace missions, application and platform development, and data analysis. It will also incorporate advanced technologies like artificial intelligence.

"This center represents a strategic step for the United Nations and also for the Comunitat Valenciana."

The center's location in Quart de Poblet responds to the region's capacity in talent, infrastructure, and institutional cooperation, which acknowledges the Comunitat Valenciana's role in the international technological ecosystem. With this new digital hub, Valencia strengthens its position within the UN's global structure, where it already hosts part of the operations of the Global Service Centre (UNGSC).
