The PP has proposed a new line of 125,000 euros in the Generalitat's Budgets to promote an innovation laboratory focused on the aerospace and defense industry in the Valencian Community.

The initiative, part of the Directorate General for Innovation's Advancement of the Digital Society program, will be directly awarded to the Ceramics Industries Research Association (ITC-AICE). This advanced materials 'living lab' aims to foster research, validation, and technology transfer to strengthen collaboration between research centers and businesses.
The proposal comes at a crucial time, with the growing prominence of the defense industry in European and Spanish policies. Increased defense spending and new EU programs are creating opportunities for technology centers specializing in advanced materials, photonics, electronics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
Concurrently, the Valencian Community has intensified its commitment to this sector. In addition to the upcoming Aerospace Strategy and the creation of business initiatives, the Consell has launched an autonomous defense industry alliance to bolster an ecosystem of nearly a hundred companies, promote R&D projects, and attract investment.
