Foreign investment in the Comunitat Valenciana soars by 149% in the first quarter

The Valencian territory attracts 487 million euros, becoming the third autonomous region with the highest investment volume.

The Comunitat Valenciana has received 487 million euros in gross foreign investment during the first quarter of 2026, representing a 149% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to data from the Foreign Investment Registry, this figure places the region as the third autonomous community with the highest volume of international investment in Spain, accounting for 7.4% of the national total. The province of Valencia concentrated the majority of the capital, with 257 million euros, followed by Alicante and Castellón.
Regarding the origin of the funds, France and Japan lead the list of investing countries. Most of the capital raised, nearly 90%, was allocated to expanding existing investments. The telecommunications equipment manufacturing and chemical industry sectors received the most significant economic support.
Furthermore, the investment attraction area of Ivace+i Internacional managed 33 business initiatives interested in establishing or expanding their activity in the Valencian territory. Most of these projects originated from China, focusing primarily on information and communication technologies (ICT) and the automotive sector.
