The main industrial figures for Camp de Morvedre show a mixed balance for 2024. According to the annual study by the Valencian Institute of Statistics (IVE), the region's industrial net turnover has decreased for the second consecutive year, standing at 2,583 million euros. This figure represents an 8.6% reduction compared to the previous year, when it exceeded 2,826 million euros, and a decline from the all-time high recorded in 2022 with over 3,555 million euros.
However, the drop in revenue is not alarming, as the employed workforce and worker remuneration have increased. The regional industry had nearly 4,900 workers under labor contracts, to whom nearly 170 million euros were paid in salaries. The average annual salary slightly exceeded 34,500 euros.
These increases translate to a 2.7% rise in workforce numbers and a 6.3% increase in salaries compared to the previous year. The report highlights that this industrial momentum is favored by the prospect of the PowerCo gigafactory's launch in Parc Sagunt II.
Compared to the statistical series initiated in 2008, the industrial turnover in Camp de Morvedre has grown by 71.2% and by 28.3% in the last five years. Although the historical peaks in employment (almost 5,500 employees) and salaries (almost 190 million euros) were recorded in 2022, current figures show a positive trend in terms of employment and remuneration.
