The Directorate General for Coasts, Ports and Airports, under the Third Vice Presidency, has decided to intervene to oversee the process. Although this is a civil matter between the concessionaire and the users, the regional administration is exercising its supervisory role over the port's public domain to ensure social peace.
The director general of the department noted that, although the administrative relationship is maintained directly with the concessionary company, the Consell's intention is to bridge the gap between the parties. The goal is to prevent the conflict from escalating and to achieve a stable solution for all involved.
As a result of the initial meetings, it has been agreed to maintain current conditions for the next month and a half. This period will allow both the company and the berth holders to present their proposals before the next meeting of the dialogue table.
