The management of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) and union representatives have signed the XIV Collective Agreement, valid until the end of 2029, calling off planned strikes.

The management of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) and the union representatives from UGT, CC.OO Valencia and Alicante, and SF Valencia have signed the XIV Collective Agreement of the public company today, which will be valid until the end of 2029. This agreement has, in turn, led to the cancellation of the planned work stoppages by the SIF and SEMAF unions.
The cancellation will allow both Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant to provide service with complete normality. This is particularly relevant for Alicante, which from tomorrow, June 20th, to June 25th, will offer special services for the Hogueras festivities. Similarly, in Valencia, special metro and tram service will be maintained on San Juan's night, as in previous years.
The SIF and SEMAF unions have not joined the signing of the new agreement, but given the agreement reached, they have decided to call off the planned work stoppages. The text of the new collective agreement includes economic and social improvements for all FGV employees in Valencia and Alicante, and has the support of the majority of the union representation within the public company.
