The province of Alicante has reinforced its position as a tourism engine in the first half of 2026, reaching a hotel occupancy rate of 83.3%, according to the latest Hotel Barometer.

The data, prepared by STR and Cushman & Wakefield, places the province nearly nine points above the national average, which stands at 74.1%. This trend confirms the strength of the Costa Blanca, which has managed to maintain high activity levels despite the generalized increase in sector prices.
In the case of Benidorm, the main tourist destination in the Comunitat Valenciana, the average daily rate reached 89.9 euros. Although this figure represents a 6.4% year-on-year increase, the city maintains a competitive pricing policy compared to other holiday markets in the country, such as Marbella or Barcelona.
At the provincial level, revenues have also followed an upward trend, with a 7.9% increase in the average daily rate of establishments. This dynamic is part of a positive context for Spain as a whole, where the sector has improved both occupancy and hotel profitability during the first six months of the year.
