The Port Authority of Alicante continues to expand its competitiveness and operational capacity thanks to the investment by JSV, the concessionaire of the Port Hub of Alicante. This company has added the MilaGreen to its fleet, a new-generation vessel with a capacity of 1,200 TEUS (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit), designed to transport all types of containers.
The commissioning of this vessel is accompanied by the introduction of 450 new containers, an investment that contributes to strengthening the Hub's operational capacity and logistics service offerings. Among the new units are the 45 PW-HQ and 45’ Reefers containers, specialized in transporting goods requiring specific conditions, thus expanding service possibilities for various productive sectors.
The MilaGreen increases the efficiency and versatility of maritime connections from the Port of Alicante. This capacity, combined with the availability of specialized equipment, allows for logistics solutions better tailored to the needs of each cargo and the operators using the port facilities.
With this addition, the port of Alicante strengthens its position as a strategic hub for maritime and multimodal transport in the Mediterranean, enhancing its capacity to handle traffic growth and continue advancing towards a more efficient, innovative, and sustainable logistics model.
