The Science Park of Miguel Hernández University (PCUMH) of Elche and Cajamar Caja Rural have signed an agreement to boost the business fabric and support innovative projects in the province.

This agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in activities that promote the diversification of the business fabric, innovation, and industrial and technological development. The goal is to enhance competitiveness and overall economic growth in the province.
Furthermore, the entities will collaborate on actions that foster the exchange of experiences and the transfer of innovative knowledge applied to business. They also commit to organizing and participating in workshops, events, and conferences of interest to the province.

Cajamar has joined as a sponsor for the 15th edition of the UMH Start-up Creation Marathon, a program managed by the UMH Science Park.

As part of this sponsorship, Cajamar Caja Rural will award a prize to the most innovative project or the one with the greatest growth or scalability potential. Its participation in the UMH Marathon reflects its cooperative banking model and its strong commitment to supporting entrepreneurs in the province, facilitating knowledge transfer, and contributing to the launch of business projects with growth capacity and value creation, especially those linked to the productive economy and local talent.
The UMH Marathon is an incubation program that combines strategic mentoring, sectoral advice, training in startup creation, and funding to boost project launches. In this 15th call, which is already underway, nearly fifty projects promoted by more than 70 entrepreneurs are participating, innovating in fields ranging from applications, sustainability, agri-food, and health to biotechnology, fashion, culture, and engineering.
