What will be Europe's tallest residential building is beginning construction in Benidorm, a 64-story, 230-meter-high tower with 260 homes.

Construction of Europe's tallest residential skyscraper has commenced in the Alicante town of Benidorm. The building will feature 64 floors, stand 230 meters high, and accommodate 260 homes, with a total investment of 140 million euros.
As explained by Raquel Nadal, project control manager at TM Grupo Inmobiliario, to EFE, “Benidorm has been demonstrating for years that well-planned verticality is an efficient way to optimize land use.” The company has over 30 years of investment in high-rise construction in the city.
Located just meters from Poniente beach, construction has already surpassed the underground phase and reached ground level to begin vertical ascent. The foundation includes a slab with 355 piles, totaling over 3,500 linear meters of drilling, which will support 85,000 tons.
Nadal compared the tower's load-bearing capacity to the Eiffel Tower, which withstands 10,100 tons, indicating that the new construction “will be like a little over eight Eiffel Towers.” To ensure safety at height, wind tunnel tests were conducted at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, based on data collected over two years using anemometers in the area.
Once completed, the TM Tower will surpass the current tallest residential building in Europe, the Zlota 44 in Warsaw, which has 52 floors and 192 meters. Additionally, the new Benidorm skyscraper will offer 10,000 square meters of common areas, including three swimming pools (one heated), a gym, a spa, and a skybar. An elevator will allow access to the 64th floor in under a minute.
The handover of the homes is scheduled for the second half of 2028. Currently, nearly 50% of reservations have been made, with 25% registered solely during the launch phase. The most sought-after units are those with three bedrooms, although options range from one to four bedrooms.
The primary buyers are Polish citizens, followed by Spaniards, Ukrainians, and nationals from other Eastern European countries.
