The Generalitat, along with the General State Administration, the Valencia City Council, the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif), Puertos del Estado (State Ports), and the Port Authority of Valencia (APV) have signed a new addendum to the original agreement for the development of the Valencia-Fuente de San Luis Intermodal and Logistics Terminal.
This new addendum adapts the agreement and the first addendum from 2023 to the current designation of the signatory administrations. It also revises the parties' obligations and updates the funding for the actions planned for the commissioning of Phase I of the terminal.
The modification also determines the most suitable formula for the operational management of the infrastructure by Adif and the Port Authority of Valencia.
The initial agreement, signed in 2019, established the framework for cooperation in the construction of the terminal, linked to the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) of the Port of Valencia and Mercavalència.
In 2023, a first addendum extended the agreement's validity until May 2027, updated designations, revised funding amounts, and reordered land contributions. The Generalitat set its contribution at 357,775.10 square meters of land.
Since 2023, Adif and the APV have been carrying out the necessary actions for Phase I, with a funding forecast of 54.92 million euros for both entities.
The new addendum also includes the promotion of an inter-administrative cooperation body for the supervision and control of the terminal's management, which must be initiated before the agreement's expiry.
The formalization of this second addendum does not entail additional financial commitments for the Generalitat or modifications to current budgetary credits.
