The Community of Madrid has allocated 100 million euros in aid for freelancers and small businesses during the current legislature, supporting more than 48,500 entrepreneurs. Among the highlighted initiatives is the Tarifa Cero (Zero Rate), which has benefited over 20,500 individuals by fully covering their social security contributions for the first year of activity, with the possibility of extension.
Additionally, over 4,500 freelancers have benefited from aid for establishing their self-employed activity. The Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Employment has updated the regulations for these programs, increasing the subsidy amount for starting activity by 40%, expanding the Tarifa Cero to new groups, and incorporating the Intergenerational Equity Mechanism (MEI) as a deductible expense.

The new consulting and mentoring service has received 1,647 applications and provided 1,688 hours of support to freelancers and SMEs.
Technological training has been another key strategic focus, with an investment of 15.4 million euros in digital training. More than 38,000 people have been trained in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, and 5G technology, exceeding European targets by 30%.
Collaboration with South Summit has positioned the Community of Madrid as an international benchmark for entrepreneurship, generating nearly 40 million euros in economic activity and creating over 3,400 jobs. Agreements with social economy associations have led to the establishment of 67 new companies.
These policies have contributed to the number of self-employed workers in the region reaching 446,629 in June, the highest figure recorded, with over 445,000 professionals working for themselves.
