The Community of Madrid has authorized the signing of a collaboration agreement with the Industrial Association for the Promotion of the Data Economy and Artificial Intelligence (IndesIA). The agreement seeks to modernize the region's business fabric through the integration and development of cutting-edge technologies in its production processes, with the aim of reducing the technological gap and improving the productivity of Madrid-based companies.
This new agreement, involving an investment of 6 million euros until 2028, continues the cooperation initiated in 2024 between the regional government and this non-profit organization. The funding comes from the regional budgets and adds to the 7.6 million euros from Next Generation funds allocated in the first phase of the project.
Through this collaboration, Madrid companies will have access to a set of free programs, tools, and services that facilitate the incorporation of artificial intelligence into their activities, without the need for large investments or the development of proprietary technological solutions. The second phase of the agreement will consolidate the existing infrastructure, promote the widespread implementation of pilot projects, and extend the use of AI to the region's entire business sector.
Initiatives will be launched to enhance business support, facilitate the adoption of new technologies, and create a Marketplace. This shared digital platform for AI-based solutions will allow organizations to access applications and share those they develop.
The first phase of the initiative involved 300 SMEs, which benefited from an acceleration program with over 400 hours of mentoring to identify AI application opportunities. Furthermore, more than 75 pilot projects were launched across various productive sectors.
In 2025, the Community of Madrid created IndesIA Hub, an AI marketplace with 150 users. It currently offers five services focused on needs such as sales analysis, virtual assistant creation, tender and subsidy management, and document digitalization.
Additionally, 24 companies in the textile sector are participating in a pioneering national data demonstrator center designed to analyze and exploit high-value structured information, promoting new business models and improving competitiveness.
