Since the strategy's approval, the Madrid City Council has invested 54 million euros, reaching 56.8% execution. These actions focus on subsidies for training, digitalization, and technical advice, aiming to modernize municipal markets and commercial zones.
The initiative also seeks to boost key sectors such as local crafts, fashion, street vending, and the management of small businesses in the capital. The Comprehensive Strategy, endowed with 95.4 million euros, originated from collaboration between public bodies, business associations, and the Sectorial Council of Commerce and Hospitality.
“"This plan is conceived as a living and flexible roadmap, designed to adapt to the changing needs of the market and the real demands of the sector."
The municipal government has emphasized joint work with the local business community, viewing the plan as an adaptable tool. Professional contributions will allow for adjustments to ongoing measures to strengthen Madrid's commercial and hospitality offerings and enhance its economic adaptability.
