The Community of Madrid is preparing to host the second edition of Furniture Week, an event designed to invigorate the habitat sector and solidify the region's standing in design and quality.

The Association of Habitat Commerce Entrepreneurs of Madrid (Hábitat Madrid) has officially unveiled the 2nd Furniture Week of the Community of Madrid. This gathering, scheduled from February 3 to 6, 2027, within the framework of Intergift at IFEMA Madrid, aims to significantly boost the habitat sector as a crucial economic driver for the region. The initiative seeks to stimulate sales, cultivate habitat culture among consumers, and foster cooperation among businesses, municipalities, and public administrations.
The event is supported by various institutions, including the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council, the Arganda City Council, the Las Rozas City Council, IFEMA Madrid, and the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Madrid. The first edition was described by Marta Nieto, Director General of Commerce, Consumption, and Services for the Community of Madrid, as "a turning point for the Madrid habitat sector," highlighting the creation of the first digital map of Madrid's furniture as a significant legacy.
Under the concept 'Your story starts here,' the second edition will bridge the home, cinema, and habitat commerce. Jesús Clemente, president of Hábitat Madrid, explained the slogan was chosen because "every home begins with a piece of furniture, and every piece of furniture is the first chapter of a story." Cinema will serve as a narrative thread, incorporating creative storytelling focused on the link between home, design, and experiences, with special activations at Intergift and actions aimed at driving traffic to participating stores.
This year's initiative is further strengthened by the inclusion of new institutional partners such as the Madrid City Council, the municipality of Las Rozas, and the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Madrid, thereby expanding its metropolitan scope. Participating institutions have emphasized the strategic value of the event for Madrid's business fabric, highlighting the blend of tradition, innovation, and proximity commerce.

"The Furniture Week of the Community of Madrid demonstrates the strength of a sector that combines tradition, innovation, and proximity commerce with enormous growth potential."

Marta Nieto · Director General of Commerce, Consumption and Services of the Community of Madrid

"Arganda contributes craftsmanship, industry, and a long tradition linked to furniture. Being part of this initiative is an opportunity to continue boosting our productive fabric."

Alberto Escribano · Mayor of Arganda del Rey
The 2nd Furniture Week of the CAM aims to solidify Madrid as a key territory for the design, manufacturing, distribution, and purchase of furniture and decoration. Julia González Romo, director of Intergift, noted that the event provides "content, visibility, and direct connection with professionals and consumers," serving as a natural meeting point for the sector.
