Las Rozas de Madrid will participate for the first time in the Smart City Expo World Congress, held in Barcelona from November 3rd to 5th, presenting over 100 urban technology projects under the theme “A bridge to the future. Connecting people, innovation & talent”.

The city aims to position itself as a bridge connecting the business, entrepreneurial, university ecosystems, and public administration to drive technological innovation, economic development, and talent attraction, with the ultimate goal of improving citizens' quality of life.
The projects are grouped into five key areas: digital services focused on citizens, smart and safe city, intelligent and sustainable mobility, green and efficient city, and innovation and talent hub. The stand will feature a startup zone, a networking space, and the Ágora, a stage for presentations and dialogue sessions. The video game “Las Rozas Tech Run” will also premiere.
During the event, the stand will host international delegations from countries including Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Finland, Norway, and the Netherlands. Featured projects include the city's digital twin, AI-powered video surveillance system, drone aerial patrol, municipal energy self-consumption plan, and intelligent management of resources like water, lighting, and waste.
Initiatives for social innovation, sustainable mobility, entrepreneurship, and STEAM talent will also be showcased, alongside projects from startups supported by the Hub Las Rozas Innova and collaborations with European R&D&i Consortia. The space will serve to open new collaboration opportunities and strengthen ties with national and international smart city networks such as the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI), AMETIC, and CIVINET.
A total of 23 companies will accompany Las Rozas, presenting their solutions at the stand or in the Ágora Program. These include HPE, DNOTA-Bettair, Aeioros Servicios, Retail Tools, Cyclomedia, Grupo Maggioli, NEC Ibérica, and Schréder, in addition to sponsors like Dominion, Libelium, Orange Empresas, Viarium, Dos Espacios, DXC Technology, Gewiss, Riversa, Mejoras Energéticas, and Seresco, along with startups such as Vapasec, iCatalist, Zeronet, Sustain XP, and Tribbu.
