The Madrid Business Confederation (CEIM) has stated that artificial intelligence will have a positive impact on employment, while acknowledging adaptation challenges for some sectors, during a forum held in Madrid.

The president of the Madrid Business Confederation, at a recent forum, asserted that the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) will have a “positive” effect on the labor market. However, he recognized that certain sectors might undergo significant transformations due to this technological evolution.

"Every technological development throughout history has always been viewed with skepticism and concern, but it has always ended up providing advantages for work."

The same business leader, during his participation in the Madrid Leaders Forum, an event organized by the Madrid employers' association to analyze the influence of AI on businesses, leadership, and the labor sphere, highlighted that technological advancements typically create jobs “with higher added value, better remuneration, and more comfort.” He emphasized the “decisive importance” that artificial intelligence already holds in business management and the need to share experiences on productivity, organization, and ethical aspects.
Meanwhile, a representative from the Community of Madrid assured that the region will know how to transform artificial intelligence into an economic and employment opportunity. He underscored Madrid's ability to leverage new technologies and the contribution of Madrid's businesses and self-employed individuals to job creation in Spain.

"Madrid has been an example of how whenever a technology of these characteristics has been adopted, it has been able to see an opportunity."

The regional minister compared the AI revolution to the Industrial Revolution, stressing its potential applications in areas such as healthcare, education, and justice. He mentioned that this technology can optimize bureaucratic processes, facilitate legal research, and transform educational methods, though he insisted on human supervision as an indispensable element.
Another business leader, president of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, stated that AI is no longer a “future option” but a “reality” for businesses. He explained that approximately 11% of companies already use artificial intelligence, with higher penetration in large companies and less in small businesses. He warned about ethical challenges and the need to establish a “social contract” to regulate its development and use.
