During an informative breakfast with José Vicente de los Mozos, president of the Executive Committee of Ifema Madrid, Asensio reaffirmed the Chamber's support for the project from its inception. He placed particular emphasis on the economic repercussions for the city, estimated at €450 million per year over ten years, and the creation of over 10,000 jobs.
The Chamber's president highlighted the significance of these figures, noting that the event represents 0.4% of the GDP of the Community of Madrid and 4% of the GDP of the Madrid City Council in a single weekend.
Asensio also referred to the importance of foreign visitors, whose numbers are expected to increase "significantly" during the Grand Prix weekend. He considered the event a key opportunity to position Madrid as an international destination and attract quality tourism.
Furthermore, he championed the value of the Grand Prix for Ifema Madrid, underscoring its potential and results. "We compete in a global world, and this will help us develop Ifema's potential," stated Asensio, indicating that the event will contribute to improving turnover figures.
