The facility, located in the Parque Científico-Tecnológico, will have a capacity of 80 megawatts (MW) and will be oriented towards Artificial Intelligence solutions and cloud services. The project emphasizes its commitment to sustainability, using 100% renewable energy sources and a pioneering cooling system in Spain.
This complex will be Nabiax's fifth data center in the Community of Madrid, adding to a global network of 14 facilities. During the event, Díaz Ayuso highlighted the "strategic attractiveness" of these infrastructures, calling them "present and future" due to their impact on sectors such as hospitals, universities, and e-commerce.
The president advocated for public-private collaboration as a driver for attracting new business investments to the region. According to data from the Regional Government, Madrid currently has 41 operational data processing centers and 15 under construction, with another 40 planned projects that could mobilize approximately 15 billion euros.
These figures solidify Madrid as the leading data center hub in Spain, surpassing other major European markets. Nabiax's new center will further strengthen the technological presence in Alcalá de Henares and the Corredor del Henares, designed to meet the growth of digital services and AI.
