These grants aim to promote research training by funding predoctoral contracts, enabling beneficiaries to carry out their doctoral thesis research in a paid capacity while acquiring teaching competencies and research experience for an academic career.
FPU contracts provide a duration of 4 years, including 12 months of postdoctoral orientation, a salary of €32,500/year, additional funding of €10,000 for stays and tuition, and a contract-end indemnity of €3,350. They also offer the possibility of undertaking a minimum of 90 hours of university teaching.
The IFF-CSIC presents several contract proposals for those wishing to start their research career in fundamental physics. These include PhDs in the field of dark energy and the Hubble tension, within the AspaCosmos research group; in quantum and topological synchronization, within the QUINFOG research group; and in molecular solvation in quantum media, within the MolClu research group.
Interested candidates for these research lines can submit their expressions of interest until October 24th to the contacts specified for each group.
