This proposal's main objective is to enhance the quality of local products and consolidate the province of Castellón as a leading gastronomic destination. The provincial vice-president and head of Tourism, Andrés Martínez, has encouraged local establishments to actively participate in this edition.
“"The Gastronomic Spring is a great opportunity to showcase the quality of our products, in addition to positioning the province as a gastronomic destination."
Restaurants, gastro-bars, accommodations, visitable agri-food industries, gastronomic shops, activity companies, and museums or interpretation centers that are part of Castelló Ruta de Sabor can register until April 15. Each participant must offer at least one gastronomic experience linked to culinary culture, such as tasting menus, cooking workshops, showcookings, tastings, visits to wineries or oil mills, gastronomic walks, or accommodation experiences.
One of the fundamental pillars of the initiative is the commitment to local produce. All experiences must include seasonal and zero-kilometer products, as well as wines with IGP Castelló and olive oil from the province, reinforcing support for local producers and artisans. Additionally, the public will have the opportunity to vote for the best gastronomic experiences online, participating in a draw for a batch of Castelló Ruta de Sabor products.
This action is part of the broader Castelló Ruta de Sabor project, which seeks to promote Castellón's gastronomy, encourage the consumption of local products, and create new tourism experiences linked to the territory.
