Registered Unemployment in Comunitat Valenciana Decreases by 2,467 in March

The total number of unemployed individuals stands at 288,162, with significant drops across all three provinces.

The number of registered unemployed individuals in the Comunitat Valenciana saw a decrease of 2,467 people during the past month of March, bringing the total number of unemployed to 288,162.

This reduction represents a 0.85% decrease compared to February, according to data released this Tuesday by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy.
In a year-on-year analysis, unemployment registered a drop of 19,440 people in February, translating to a 6.32% decrease. By provinces, the reduction was notable in Alicante, with 1,213 fewer unemployed individuals, representing a 1.03% decrease.
The province of Valencia also saw an improvement, with 879 fewer unemployed, a 0.63% drop. Meanwhile, Castellón registered 375 fewer unemployed people, which represents a 1.18% decrease.
Nationally, the Social Security reached a new record with 21,882,147 affiliates, following a historic increase for a month of March of 211,510 more employed individuals. This boost is largely due to the hospitality sector, which added 79,701 workers with the arrival of the Easter campaign.
