The Agency for Technological Modernization of Galicia (Amtega) has opened registrations for the fifteenth edition of the Tecnólog@ por un día program. This initiative will allow secondary and high school students, aged between 12 and 17 years old, to gain firsthand insight into the daily operations of a technology organization by shadowing professionals from Amtega or participating technology companies in Galicia for a day.
The program aims to introduce students to the technological field through direct contact with sector professionals. The visits will allow them to discover how workplaces function, learn about real projects, and become familiar with the tools and knowledge linked to new digital professions. The goal is to foster STEAM vocations and broaden youth knowledge about career opportunities in science and technology.
This initiative is part of the Plan DigiTalent 2030: Camiña en Dixital, focused on digital inclusion, training, and talent in Galicia. Specifically, it falls under its third strategic axis, which promotes early-age vocations and the development of advanced digital talent.
This edition offers 63 places for visits to the Centro GaiásTech or the facilities of technology companies such as Altia, Bahía Software, DXC Technology, NTT DATA, and Quobis.
Participation will be managed through educational centers. Teachers will be responsible for registering interested students until November 3rd. The registration form and necessary documentation, including parental or guardian authorization, will be available on the DigiTalent website.
