The Xunta delegate in Ferrol, Martina Aneiros, visited the company's facilities this morning. The firm has acquired state-of-the-art machinery to increase its competitiveness and energy efficiency.
With the received aid, Montaxes Fertri has incorporated a bending machine, a welding robot, and a side-loading forklift. This new equipment will enable the production of larger structures, free up space in the facility at the Vidreiro industrial park, and eliminate welding and combustion fumes indoors.
Aneiros highlighted the company's trajectory, which began in the 1970s and has operated in international markets since 2003, with a presence in over twenty countries. She emphasized the importance of creating employment and retaining population in rural areas through initiatives like this.
This line of aid from the Consellería do Medio Rural, aimed at strengthening the business productive fabric in rural areas, had a budget of €2.7 million this year, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) within the framework of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027.
