The Minister of Education, Science, Universities, and Vocational Training, Román Rodríguez, announced today the launch of the website for the European Artificial Intelligence Factory 1HealthAI. This new digital space is designed to provide support and advisory services to all interested parties, particularly SMEs and innovative companies linked to the One Health domain.
The platform, accessible at 1healthai.eu, was presented during a working session with key Galician clusters. The objective is to highlight the opportunities this initiative will offer to companies in the region, enabling them to translate artificial intelligence resources into innovation, competitiveness, and new business opportunities.
The Factory will establish preferential access channels to its resources and provide personalized support through mentoring. This aims to facilitate the identification of opportunities and guide the development of AI-based solutions, as well as foster the creation and growth of specialized startups in this field.
This initial meeting also served to gather the needs and expectations of various Galician business sectors and to define future services and collaboration mechanisms. Representatives from clusters in health, biotechnology, food, maritime, environment, and information technologies participated, along with officials from CESGA, DATAlife, Gradiant, and the three public universities of Galicia.
The 1HealthAI Factory, with an investment of 82 million euros co-financed by the EU and Spain, is led by the Galician Supercomputing Centre (CESGA) and co-led by the CSIC. It stands out for its specialization in the One Health approach and was rated as one of the best AI factories awarded in Europe.
