The City Council of Castelló d'Empúries has launched a new subsidy call from the CCAM to support the local commercial, artisan, and service sector, with grants for digital transformation and sustainability.

The City Council of Castelló d'Empúries, through its Economic Promotion department, has called upon the commercial, artisan, and local service sector of the municipality, including both the historic center of Castelló and Empuriabrava, to benefit from the new subsidy call from the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya (CCAM) of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the year 2026.
This line of public aid aims primarily to strengthen business competitiveness, foster digitalization, promote environmental sustainability, encourage generational renewal, and consolidate local commercial offerings and quality craftsmanship.
The CCAM call includes various support programs. Among them are subsidies for digital transformation and modernization, covering technological tools and e-commerce; aid for sustainability and energy efficiency, such as reducing consumption and waste management; improvement and renovation of commercial establishments, both interior and exterior, and accessibility; support for craftsmanship, with grants for new workshops, fairs, and generational succession; and support for merchant associations and entities for revitalization campaigns.
Eligible applicants include individuals (self-employed), micro-enterprises, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in retail, local services, and crafts, as well as non-profit merchant associations and entities. Establishments or activities must be located within the municipality of Castelló d'Empúries.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the Generalitat de Catalunya's procedures portal. Detailed information, regulatory bases, and forms are available at the official CCAM link.
