The management of Saint-Gobain Sekurit España and employee representatives have formalized the relocation of the Devisa plant, currently based in El Vendrell, to new facilities in L'Arboç. This transition will be executed in phases between July and November.
A key aspect of the agreement ensures that the workforce will retain their current working and salary conditions once the move to the new site is complete. The company states this decision reflects a commitment to industrial operations in Tarragona to address future challenges.
Investment in new machinery is another commitment, aimed at improving Devisa's operational performance and securing the continuity of material extrusion activities in Spain. The company seeks to enhance results, boost productivity, and reduce logistical and fixed costs.
“"This agreement allows us to move forward with a planned and secure transition, protecting business continuity and reinforcing the necessary foundation to continue attracting projects in an increasingly demanding environment."
Saint-Gobain Devisa, S.A.U. will continue to exist as a separate legal entity, retaining ownership of the activity, employees, and other production means, with the sole exception of the physical workplace.
