The Consell Comarcal de Cerdanya has presented the awards for the 12th Business Project Competition, recognizing the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of students from the Institut Pere Borrell in Puigcerdà.

The initiative, aimed at second-year high school students studying Economics, featured the presentation of 9 projects. These works focused on strategic areas such as innovation, job creation, environmental sustainability, support for vulnerable groups, and territorial balance.
Anna Díaz, economic promotion technician at the Consell Comarcal de Cerdanya, highlighted the importance of valuing projects that are "rooted in the territory," with an element of sustainability and local products, offering a service to the county. According to Díaz, "if there is entrepreneurship, there will be a business fabric; if there is, we create employment, and in the end, it's a virtuous cycle."
For her part, Glòria Rigola, youth technician, emphasized the objective of "a spirit of rooting in the territory," encouraging young people to get educated and see the potential for creating "very good and very powerful projects" in Cerdanya once their studies are complete.
The jury awarded three projects: "Safe Lips" by Nina Pasquier, "Arrela’t App" by Gerard Aguilera, and "Làctics" by Sofia Campos. The winners will receive an economic prize of 250 euros for the continuation of their studies.
This competition is supported by the Diputació de Girona and the Departament d’Empresa i Treball of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
